It is 370 kilometers from Calgary (4 hour drive, 50 minute flight), 845 kilometers (9 hour drive, 90 minute flight) from Vancouver and 300 kilometers (3.5 hour drive) from Spokane, Washington. Mountain Spirit Resort & Spa and Kimberley are 20 minutes’ drive from the Canadian Rockies International Airport outside Cranbrook.
With the awe-inspiring backdrop of the Canadian Rockies, Kimberley Alpine Resort provides beautiful views in a laid back and friendly atmosphere. With 80 named runs and glades that range from beginner through expert, there’s a lot to explore at Kimberley.
The resort is known for great snow conditions, plenty of sunshine, and a consistent supply of dry, Purcell powder. Kimberley offers a wide variety of terrain to satisfy all ability levels. The front side of the mountain is well suited for beginner and intermediate snow enthusiasts who enjoy long, wide open groomed trails and intermediate gladed terrain. The Easter Bowl on the backside is a haven for the more adventurous type, with steep gladed terrain, moguls and long-lasting powder stashes.
Downtown Kimberley is five minutes from Mountain Spirit with a variety of specialty shops and restaurants. There are four golf courses in Kimberley and 20 within an hour’s drive (Trickle Creek Golf Course is 750 meters from Mountain Spirit). The area has 33 kilometers of cross-country ski trails, with three kilometers lighted for night skiing. The 1,800-acre Kimberley Nature Park is great for hiking, mountain biking and cross-country skiing, and the St. Mary’s River offers world class fly fishing just 15 minutes away.
