2. County Down, Northern Ireland
The course: Royal County Down is just one of many golfing options in this part of Northern Ireland. Royal County Down’s Championship Course (one of four there) features the narrowest of fairways and “bearded” bunkers with overhanging lips of marram, red fescue and heather.
